We were recently commissioned with making 120 rigidised cases for our client, a leading outside broadcasting company.

With 120 cases to custom build from scratch, we have had many hands on deck in our workshop this month to get them produced in time. This order has taken up a big proportion of our production capacity this month, but with our commitment to our customers, we have worked extra hard to ensure no other orders have fallen behind schedule as a result.

The 120 cases have all been colour coded in our client’s brand colour, making them instantly recognizable on location. To do this, the aluminium closures have been dyed, rather than just painting the aluminium, so the colour will never chip or scratch off.  It’s just one example that shows our commitment to building only the highest quality protective cases with superior finishes.

Last week, Samuelson Cases went to SMPTE! SMPTE is a bi-annual conference & exhibition run by the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers. Considered to be one of  the biggest tech-fests Australia gets, we thought it would be a prime opportunity to showcase our work. Running over four days, the event was well attended, despite some serious rain, with attendees traveling from Singapore, New Zealand & even England to be there.

Samuelson Cases has always been a major supplier for the broadcast industry & SMPTE was a good chance to catch up with old clients, such as LEMAC, Videocraft & Panavision, as well as a serious networking opportunity. We met with people & companies from across Australia, and looked at some of the latest & greatest gear that we hope to be designing & building cases for in the near future.

The case we made was an extruded case, with a foam insert that encased the YC-10. The case itself was made from aluminium, meaning that the case was light enough to be carried & handled easily, but still provided plenty of protection for the organ within.

However, we are now all moved into our new factory & are ready for the new year!

We made a case this week for Promotechnics – the premier maker of character costumes, sets & props! the case we made was for a cute baby avocado costume, which you can see in the photo! 

The avocado was made to promote avocado eating, and will likely crop up all over the place, so keep a look out!

Clemenger BBDO, the advertising company, commissioned this case from us for one of their pitches! The pitch was for Codral: Cold Scene Investigations, and the case we made for it was a welded attaché case with an aluminum anodized closure, along with foam inserts, designed for the CSI on the move!

This case was built a few years ago for the RTA to house equipment that needed to be shuffled throughout Rural Australia. It came back to us recently after having gone through a plane crash in Orange

The plane was written off, and the case itself is irreparable, however, the equipment housed within was left completely unharmed & in perfect working order, thanks to our superior construction & materials!
